The power saving mode is also helpful too!īut this is a great unit and definitely worth the price. I also like how the unit will turn itself off when the room reaches the desired temperature, so it isn't wasteful. We built a frame for the unit to fit in for installation in our horizontal opening window, which this unit is not capable of. We put the unit in our bedroom and a fan in the bedroom doorway to cool the whole apartment (900 square ft).
Overall, the unit does very well in my family's apartment.

It can also be difficult to maintain quiet conversation in the same room as the unit, as it is not silent while moving so much air.
